Case Presentation of Industrial Duplex Filter Project for a Chemical Plant in Shanxi
Project Background
In continuous production processes of petrochemical, fine chemical, food, pharmaceutical and other industries, impurities and particulate matter contained in fluid media tend to cause abrasion and blockage of downstream pumps, valves, nozzles and precision equipment. Conventional single filters require full production shutdown for maintenance, which directly disrupts production line continuity.
To solve the pain point of "shutdown for maintenance" in process fluid filtration, a chemical enterprise introduced industrial duplex filters to enable simultaneous filtration and online switching maintenance, ensuring year-round stable and continuous operation of the production system.
Project Solution
Custom industrial duplex filters were adopted for this project. Featuring a parallel dual-cartridge structure, the equipment undergoes precise factory assembly and full-process performance commissioning to guarantee smooth switching and reliable sealing after startup, meeting the customer's continuous production operating conditions.

Core Structural Design
The equipment consists of two independent stainless steel filter barrels. A three-way diverter valve switches the fluid flow path: one barrel operates for online filtration while the other stands by offline for maintenance. Online switching without production shutdown enables uninterrupted filtration.
The barrels adopt a quick-opening design for fast disassembly and replacement of filter baskets.
Precision Assembly Process
Full factory processing including barrel welding, pipeline connection, diverter valve installation and sealing part assembly is completed in the workshop. Strict precision control is implemented on the sealing surfaces of diverter valves and barrel flange connections to ensure the pressure resistance grade and sealing performance comply with working pressure requirements, eliminating risks of internal and external leakage during operation.
Factory Performance Commissioning
After assembly, the equipment undergoes hydraulic strength testing, air tightness testing and diverter valve operation testing. Operating pressure is simulated to verify pressure resistance and sealing performance. Diverter switching tests are also carried out to confirm jamming-free switching with zero medium leakage. The equipment is delivered to the customer only after 100% compliance with all performance indicators.
